I am a theater worker and scholar based in New York and Shanghai. And I am currently a Ph.D. candidate in Performance Studies at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, with a background of Chinese literature (B.A.) Comparative Literature and Performance Studies (M.A.).
My research includes mobility, dance, and the everyday philosophies of movement.
As a theater practitioner, I use devising techniques to bring social issues to light, having previously explored themes such as the interplay of sign language and spoken language, domestic labor and feminism, and movement in daily life.
I’m driven by a commitment to investigate the pathways of both movement and language, and I look forward to expanding these explorations.
